As a worldwide innovation, Granitrans has created a multiwire machine that cuts natural stone blocks (granite and marble) directly to 8mm thick. Until now, multiwire machines only cut at 12mm and to get 8mm thick you had to re-slice one slab at a time to get that thickness. This innovation has revolutionised our sector, making it possible for our company alone to cut entire blocks to this thickness. While it's possible to produce a maximum of 4 slabs a day, Granitrans can produce 40 slabs in 7 hours (our production works from 6am to 11pm).
Once the sheets have been cut, they are reinforced with mesh or omnicom, depending on the purpose.
